in the field of trauma immunology (starting at 18th September 2022). The project is embedded in the CRC1149 "Danger Response, Disturbance Factors and Regenerative Potential after Acute Trauma" at Ulm University and aims to target post-traumatic hyperinflammation propagated by small extracellular vesicles (sEVs, exosomes) by drug-repurposing as well as development of armed therapeutic sEVs. 
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the highly innovative and collaborative CRC research environment as well as the structured International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine Ulm (IGradU) PhD training program to acquire a PhD or Dr. rer. net. degree.

Your profile:
  • Masters degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or a related field
  • Experience with molecular biology or cell biology and animal work
  • Motivation to solve complex biological problems
  • Motivation to work with animal model systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Capability of working in a team as well as independently
