Your project:

Role of microRNAs in the regulation of adipose tissue insulin sensitivity

Our research focus is the physiology and pathophysiology of adipose tissue ( We study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of adipose tissue homeostasis in health and disease. In the advertised project we aim to elucidate the of microRNAs in the regulation of adipose tissue insulin sensitivity. The project is part of the Boehringer Ingelheim Ulm University BioCenter (BIU).

Your profile:
  • A PhD degree in Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry or related field is required
  • Experience in cell culture and molecular biology (cloning, RT-qPCR, protein analysis, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry) is expected
  • Previous experience with microRNAs, target gene analysis and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Cooperation skills and capability of working in a team as well as independently
