Your project:

Adipose tissue microRNAs in the pathogenesis of metabolic disease

Our research focus is the physiology and pathophysiology of adipose tissue ( We study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of adipose tissue homeostasis in health and disease. In the advertised project we aim to elucidate the role of adipose tissue microRNAs in the local regulation of adipose tissue mass and function as well as their systemic effects.

Your profile:
  • Master degree in Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • Standard cellular molecular biology methods (cell culture, PCR, cloning, Western blot)
  • Previous experience with microRNA research, target gene analysis and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing is a plus, but not a prerequisite
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Cooperation skills and capability of working in a team
