to work on a project aiming to discover and characterize innate immune RNA-binding proteins controlling RNA virus infections. The project encompasses next-generation sequencing and bioinformatic-based approaches to identify novel antiviral factors, diverse cellular and biochemical assays to study their mechanism of action, and advanced in vitro infection platforms to determine possible evasion strategies of human viruses.

Required qualifications and skills are:
- Master or Diploma degree in Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, or related subjects
- Strong interest in immunology, virology and molecular biology
- Self-motivated work, maturity and personal responsibility, effective self-organization, independent thinking and information seeking, interest to solve complex scientific problems and excellent communication skills
The successful candidate is expected to work under BSL2 and BSL3 conditions following strict safety guidelines. We welcome applications from people with disabilities if the requirements to work in BSL3 facilities can be met. Prior experience in working with human pathogens and cell culture are advantageous but not essential.
