The research group IMMUNOMOD (headed by Jun. Prof. Dr. Konstantin Sparrer) at the Institute of Molecular Virology (directed by Profs. Kirchhoff and Münch) at Ulm University Medical Center is looking for a
Postdoc (f/m/d) with a strong interest in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics
The University Hospital Ulm and its employees stand for a modern and high quality patient care, excellent university research and medical education focused on the future as well as apprenticeships in attractive professional fields. The requirements for this are qualified and committed employees.
to study how human pathogenic viruses interact with the host and each other. For example, we aim to discover novel patterns of immune activation using machine learning (AI-pattern recognition receptors) and define the interplay between multiple viral pathogens co-infecting one host. Highly motivated international applicants to tackle competitive projects with a track record of interdisciplinary technical expertise are preferred. For more information about current projects see: https://www.uniklinik-ulm.de/molecular-virology/sparrer.html
We offer:
The project is part of the BMBF-funded cluster of junior research groups in infection research that aim to develop novel therapeutic approach especially against multi-resistant pathogens. We actively support career development within the frameworks of Ulm University (ProTrainU and intra mural funding opportunities) and the Postdoc will also be associated with the CRC 1279 (https://www.uni-ulm.de/med/sfb-1279-home/) for advanced training opportunities.
